Blanket Stitch Applique Sweatshirt

I was given some fabric that was stored in a studio for some time. There was one piece that had many different water colour flowers in a repeat pattern. This sweatshirt i cut out several and blanket stitch applique them onto the back and one on the front.

The body of this sweatshirt is organic cotton jersey and the sleeves and pockets are in cotton drill. All the fabric has been hand dyed with waste ink that was collected from an industrial fabric printer.

This is one of a kind and has a relaxed fit true to a ‘mens medium’.
